WW II shell help with value please

This brass shell is approx 9" high and 3" diameter. Dad's war souvenir. Marked on bottom as best I can read out are: 6PR CW RMC Lot 20 1942. Would really appreciate help with value of this. Thanks so much.

  It looks like a cut down British 6 pounder (57x441) caseing to me

  You should be able to confirm it.
  
  Value, isn't all that much, somewhere between a 6 pack and a couple cases of beer (they aren't exactly rare), less if it proves to have been cut down.
  
  In the following photo, the 2 on the right were free, the two on the left were $40 each (the other 2 weren't cheap however)
  
  75mm Sherman tank, 75mm AT & Panther tank, 88mm AA & Tiger 1, 88mm Tiger 2, 90mm US tank, 105 Howitzer.
