info on savage arms 22
we have a savage arms 22 caliber with an 07 stamped on the reciever we believe it was manufactured in 1907 it has a 14 1/2 barrell and name of lil scout does anyone know anything about this rifle i can get the serial number if it would help

A picture would be of great help. I don't know if they serial numbered back then or not, not many manufacturs did since it was not required.
From my quick research the 14 1/2 was produced from 1911 to 1941
"Stevens "Little Scout" Rifle No. 14 1/2. Made c. 1911 to 1941.
Caliber 22 rimfire. 20" barrel. Rolling block type action very similar to the No. 14, b;ut sturdier frame and made with two-piece stock (which distinguishes it from the No. 14) with entire receiver and frame exposed (casehardened). Barrel marked with usual company name and address and LITTLE SCOUT.0
