    Well your not going to find out the exact date because there is no serial number if it was produced before 1968, and without a model number or photos there isn't much to tell.

    It's not, in all probability, a "Poly-Choke". It has a choke device made by Mossberg.

    We HAVE to have a model number to even get near the year made. Mossberg made many models in numerous variations over the years. Pictures would be helpful also.

    In a nutshell- These were the guns of a working man- or a first gun for a young hunter. They are safe, durable, reliable, low cost firearms. There is a modest collector interest in the shotguns, but their main value is as a shooter. I keep a Mossy 20 and 12 as a loaner gun for visitors (mostly grandkids and their friends)
