pistol pricing
i have a j.p sauer & sohn with 7.65 on the hand grips serial # is 192xxx im thinking its a model 30 not sure but it has the n with a crown or proof mark stamp on the barrel,the tang,and the top slide it has a little blueing wore off the center between the grips and it seems to be a lighter metal rather than steel? any help will be greatly appreciated

Need quality photos to help with valuation. There is a "STICKY" near top of first page with instructions for posting photos.
Check frame with magnet to see if it's made of steel. If it's Aluminum alloy rather then steel, it would have more collectors value, depending on originality and condition of pistol.0 -

Nice photos. Looks like a fair amount of ware and some light pitting on the Sauer. Don't see it being a big buck collectors item unless it's one of the uncommon ones with the alloy frames? Nowadays with the economy in the toilet and a lot of folks out of work it's not the best of times to be trying to sell anything. Although the Sauer is a quality pistol, it's condition would affect value. My WAG is that it would be in the $200 - $350 range, if functional. 0 -
Ok here is what i have tried i took a real good heavy magnet that will pick my Baby Eagle straight up in the air with no problems but when i try to pick up this gun it will not hold it at all unless its by the barrel it acts like its going to but it slides right off but by the barrel you would have to shake it hard to get it to fall off any ideas? 0 -
oh and one other thing it has front adjustable sights! any ideas on what model the gun is ?and when it was made?

Model 1930, whose number range was between 180,000 to 230,000 approximately. Since yours is in the 192,XXX range, probably early 30's. If yours does have a alloy frame it would be quite a bit more valuable to a collector, even with the rough slide. I have never previously run across a alloy framed Model 1930 so it's hard to value. My WAG is that it would be at least in the $400 to $600 range.0 -
