smith 380
i have a smith&wesson 380. What i would like to know is if there is a paint or anything that i could re paint the slide with and where can i get it, or is this a bad idea. I love shooting the little pistol, but the plastic case that it came in new is pretty hard on the finish, but only on the slide.i no longer store it in that case and would like to repair it. The local gun store here says i can send the slide back to smith but i would rather do it myself if possible.

www.brownells has some spray on gun finishes that are easy to do.There is Gun-Kote and Duracoat and Baking Lacquer.
There also is K-G Gun Coat.0
