Kaintuckee shotgun

My father has an old 16ga shotgun that has been passed down for at least 4 generations that I know of. It has no Identifying marks except that Kaintuckee is engraved into the reciever. Anyone have any info or has anyone even seen one similair?

    Between 1880 and 1940 it was quite popular for wholesale and retail and even independent
    stores like Uncle John"s Country Corner Store to want shotguns with names of their own choosing to sell. The major makers were only too happy to supply this demand. The gun are called "Trade Brand Name" shotguns. That is a gun made by a major maker for and sold by a wholesaler who chose the name to go on the gun. You KAINTUCKEE shotgun is such a gun.
    It was made by the W.H. Davenport Arms Company of Norwich,CT (1878 to 1910) Tere is no way to tell what year it was made and who sold the gun I haven't been able to find out. Value? Everybody wants to know. The value of these old shotguns depends on their condition, the amount of original finish remaining on the metal and wood as well as the mechanical condition. Values can range from about $175 for one that appears to have come out of the factory yesterday afternoon to less than $10 for one that would make a fair tent peg. Most sell in the $50 to $80 range
