Serial number 508801 was the last one through the Polishing Room on December 5th, 1912. Your rifle most likely went through the Polishing Room within a day or two of that date.

The "A" on the receiver identifies it as a Model 1890 versus a Model 1906 (which was stamped with a "B"). The receiver frames are otherwise identical between the two models.

The other markings you describe are inspection stamps that were applied during the assembly and fitting process.

In order to determine the value (estimate), you will need to post some clear pictures of the various parts of the rifle. I suspect that it will not have a significant value amount due to the condition of the stock and the bluing.

$350 on a good day. The overall graded condition is "Fair".
