Anyone tell me the difference between the M6 Survival rifle and the M6 Scout rifle both made by Springfield Armory ?They both look the same .

  The real M6 Survival rifle has 14" barrels and is considered an NFA item (AOW).
  
  The Scout is the 18" non NFA gun.

  One is the military version with a short barrel...the other is the commercial version with a longer barrel.
