Advice For Shooting A 10 Ga Magnum Shell?

I own a H&R Model 176 10 Ga Shotgun with a 36 inch barrel that is marked 31/2 inch shells. I have seen the barrels marked for the regular 10 ga and then the 10 ga magnum shells both in 31/2 inch. My question would be would it be ok to shoot a 10 ga magnum shell out of a regular 10 ga marked barrel? Any help on this would be great as I found a gentleman that has a whole case of 10 ga magnum shells brand new in the box for $7.50 a piece thanks in advance!!!

    I was always told to only use ammo that was intended to be used in any gun so I'd say no way unless you can get the manufacturer to say it's OK and since Remington bought out H&R I don't see it happening.

    As long as they are both marked 3 1/2 inch, you are good to go. A 10 ga 3 1/2 inch, is a 10 ga 3 1/2 inch...magnum or otherwise.
