What is means is that the factory mags are best.

The BC mags usually work fairly well, but there are some exceptions.

If you want a quality mag that is adjustable to your gun take a looks at the Tactical Innovations mags. These are the best mags on the market. They are at least equal to factory mags. Did I mention they were adjustable.

Ruger now has a clear factory mag (10 rds) that I hear is real good. Your problem is you choice of mags. Stay with factory equipment and you can count on the gun firing when you pull the trigger. The only exception is a well proven after market equipment. [;)]

I have jams with any high capacity mags except when I use most powerful ammo like cci quick shok.

    +1 to NWCID.

    In a nutshell:

Lots of the aftermarket Ruger 10/22 mags are unreliable.

Best mags for a 10/22 are the original factory rotary mags, which are readily available. Unless you have some driving need for high capacity, I'd stick with these.

Best commonly available high cap mags are the Butler Creek steel lips.

Best high cap mags overall are probably these, but they're not cheap:

I agree Beantownshootah, Factory stuff is best. Your goal is to have a round fire each time you pull the trigger. I don`t kn[;)]ow what it is that makes the others so bad but my guess is that it is the feeding mechanim that is so out of line.

No, the Tactical Innovation mags are the best.
At least in my Norrells and stock 10/22s.

I REALLY like the steel lips mags and have very good luck with the hot lips mags as well. None compare to the Ruger factory mags as far as reliability though.

Also, if your worried about have more rounds then 10, you can get a mag connector that will connect 3 10 round Ruger mags together. Gives you 30 instead of 25 with the great reliability. [;)]
