.475 Linebaugh

Can someone tell me the practical application for a rifle chambered in .475 Linebaugh? I see a Ruger No 1 in that caliber, and wonder what can be hunted with it. Is it a dangerous game gun?

  The .475 Linebaugh was originally for use in a pistol(John Linebaugh converted Ruger Bisley Blackhawks to this caliber and yes it is capable of taking dangerous game.
