gun won"t shoot

Just came back from the gun range, went to shoot my brand new Savage 116 30-06. It dry fires ok but when I put in a shell as soon as the accu trigger touches the trigger I hear a little click blocking the trigger from being pulled.Any ideas whats wrong?

  Make sure you aren't putting pressure on the trigger itself before the little accu thing is all the way in. A friend of mine has really big fingers and sometimes he gets pressure on the actual trigger too soon and gets a click but no bang. He has to remember to use just pad of his trigger finger and pull straight back. Hopefully that makes sense. If if isn't that then something must be out of wack.

  Take your rifle out of stock. With spring tool supplied with your Savage ajust your acc-trigger two turns clockwise. Should work, did two for friends this week. Trigger is just ajusted too light.
