10 22 ruger 1:9 twist barrel
ok. so im new at this so go easy on me. i just got my first .22 and i am wanting to make it silenced for shooting small game in some woods not far from here. i was looking at the barrel here --> http://www.tacticalinc.com/ruger-1022-twist-threaded-barrel-p-558.html made for the agila sub sonic sss 60gr rounds and i was wanting to know if i get it. will i still be able to use regualr rounds such as federal game shot and winchester high velocity rounds.

you can still use any 22LR ammo but the faster twist of the 1:9 won't stabilize the lighter rounds and will shoot all over the place. 0 -
argh. do you have any idea about how bad they will fly everywhere? will it be rediculous or just a little? 0 -
Twist on standard 22 is 1-16 ... But the only way to be sure is to try 'em.
GM recently made a run of the 1-9 barrels and I think a few were bought by folks on rimfirecentral - you may want to ask in their forums.0
