Wincheater forearm tool / removal

I understand that there was a tool to remove the rear forearm band n 94s? It is to stop from damaging the wood. do Yall know where I can find one or how do you remove the band without hurting the wwod?

  The link is good but it doesnt tell me how to get the band off without scratching the wood.

  Try wraping some plastic packing tape on the forend and then grease the tape.
