trading ammo at a gun show?
I realize that different states have different laws. I live in TX. There is a gun show coming up this weekend. I have a bunch of factory ammo that I don't have a gun for. Can an individual take ammo into the gun show to trade? or sell?
I have a bunch of .357 Mag that I would like to trade. Would it be better to sell it on GB?

There are no state laws that prohibit it but you'd better be sure that the promoter of the show will allow you to bring in live ammo. Due to liability concerns many shows are clamping down on folks off the street bringing in their own ammo and wondering around with it. 0 -
I lived in Houston until 5 years ago. At that time in Houston they would not sell ammo at the George Brown convention center show. You could buy it at other shows in the area. That was a local Harris county or city of Houston law I believe. 0 -

I've never been to a gun show that didn't allow for ammo sales.
Usually, any gun that gets brought into the show has to be unloaded and zip-tied so that it cannot GET loaded.0 -
Bring the ammo with you and leave it in the car. Have a list of what you have and cruise the show checking the selling prices. Decide what your willing to take, solicit vendors, and sell or trade it. If they don't want it, they don't want it, if they do, they'll even go out with you to verify and they can carry it in. I've done this many times at many shows. 0 -

+1 to lts. That sounds like the best method. Also, carry around a bunch of ammo at a show can get tiresome very fast. 0
