Welcome to the forum. Do a search this question has been around several times fairly recently. In short the Savage 99 featherweight is a very popular rifle for collecting. But, their values varies quite a bit. Condition of the rifle, cartridge chambered and things like that are the main concerns. Value can be for insurance or for sales and they will vary quite a bit. The 300sav cartridge is not one of the highly sought after rounds. It is not bad by any means but, IMO, it is not rare or even popular. More info and pictures would help in getting you better info. I've seen 300sav M99 going for as little as $400 and as high as $600. But, that is at my local gun shows and your local may well vary. You might want to spend some time observing the auctions side of this forum paying special attention to rifles of similar condition, age and chambering.

I bought a 99, not a 99F, made after WWII,a couple of years ago for $550 that was in really good shape. It was chambered for 300 Savage also. It didn,t have a scope. I thought I got a real good deal. I also have a 99F that I bought about 7 years ago, 308 Win., for $325, but that is ancient history.
