gunsmith help

I have a Herbert Schmidt 22LR revolver and can't get the hammer to stay cocked. Safety isssue at best but can't use till I get it fixed.
Can anyone help?

  Unless you can get hold of the parts and fix it yourself. It's not cost effective to have a gunsmith work on a Herbert Schmidt revolver. Do to their hourly rate it would cost you much more then its worth to have it fixed. You might try some of the on-line parts dealers to see if they have any used parts, ( Herbert Schmidt has been out of business for over 30 years ), and schematics if you decide to fix it your self.
