Rem 722 same as Rem 700

Are the barrel threads for the Rem 722 the same as for a Remington 700? Are the barrels interchangeable?

  Yes.
  
  The standard specification is 1.062" x 16 TPI.
  
  As always though, headspace is never a sure thing. It must be measured and corrected when switching barrels between rifles. This is usually a set back or deepening the chamber slightly with the appropriate reamer. This is the land of gunsmithing unless you have the tools and skills.
