    Not a clue.
Call Hodgdon and talk to a human. They have some rules of thumb for loading oddball cartridges with TB.
There is a book or article around somewhere with guidelines to loading the monster but I cannot now locate it.

All I have ever used for mine was accurate powder XMP5744

I have seen a few guys post BP duplex loads for it on here but that was some years back.

I am about to try some cast bullet loads in my 458 3.25" (a Ruger #1 45/70 with the chamber lengthened to 3.25" to chamber a 45/120 case).

I found some 45/120 data on the net. For 500 gr. cast bullets the suggested load was 26 to 29 gr. Trail Boss.

thanks, I kind-of gave up on t.b., couldn't find a accurate load. I've settled on 56 gns. of BLACKHORN 209 (w/ c.o.w. filler), about 1600 fps with the 500 gn. bullets and 2" groups.
