.22-250 & 1:12 twist

Anybody else besides Savage currently or in the past manufacture a factory(non-customized) rifle in .22-250 with a 1:12 twist?

  My Remington VSSF II uses a 1:12 twist, which to tell you the truth would have made me pass on buying the gun. I think a 1:12 twist gets you to stabalizing (maybe) 62 grain bullets? I kind of wanted to go heavier.

  Sure beats my 1:14 though! Anything above 50 grains and your hit and miss. All the 55 grain bullets I have tried shoot okay at best, but if I want excellent groups, I gotta go with 45 or 50's. I know that this is meant as a varmint cartridge(and should be), but I like to put things to it's limits and would like to be able to use a 60 grain Nosler Partition or a 62 grain Barnes TSX for deer hunting. With a premium bullet and confident shooter it makes a very good medium sized game cartridge as well. I did put down my most recent hog with a 45 grain TSX, but a little more weight would be nice.
