local shop has four of these with a very good price. three have the serial number deeply ingraved in the bolt and the best looking one appears to have the bolt serial number laser etched into the bolt. much larger numbers and not engraved into the bolt at all. serial number on this one is in the 800,000 range. was this normal or is this a replacement bolt in this rifle. should i be concerned about this?

  The K 31 I've owned since 2003 has the serial number deeply engraved in the bolt. It's in the 991XXX range. The "etched" bolt IMHO is probably a replacement.
