Can someone Identify this rifle??
I need some help with this rifle. Can anyone tell me what brand this is and possibly a model the gun is chambered for .22 and has a octagon barrel. The serial is 1722* and the patent dates are may 28 1912. Thanks in advance for any help.

Its a savage 13 or 29 and it shoots shorts, longs and long rifle as stated on the barrel where the name savage 29 should also be. There were different companys savage made them for and stamped their names on them like ranger, westernfield etc.
Look on the barrel behind the rear site and it should tell you there what it is.0 -

Fair price is anywhere from 175.00 to 275.00 for one in good operating condition. The sellers of these think they have gold and are trying to get stupid high money for them. Check the auction side

Most likely a 13. Savage/Stevens 29, 29a, and 29b have a push button safety above trigger and a slide release that sticks into the top of the trigger gaurd on the right side. 0 -
Thats a Meriden Model 15. It should be marked on the top tang and on barrel. It was designed by Savage and the rights sold to Meriden/Sears. It is also similar to the Mossberg model M.
