i was just given a WINCHESTER BORDER PATROL 30/30 COMMEMORATIVE...my grandfather traded a couch for it a few years back, and then gave it to me...i cant find much information on it, and was just kinda wondering a little about the gun and how much its worth...

There were 2 models ("regular" & "members") issued by Winchester in 1981.
Value depends upon serial number, exact condition, & packaging/accessories.

1981. Offered in the civilian model (1000 at $1195 origina MSRP) and the members model (800 at $695 original MSRP). Has a round barrel, straight grip, extended forearm and spade checkering. 0 -
ya my grandpa got it from someone that retired from the border patrol...the gun says model 94 with serial number USBP287..it has been fired once...but it is in perfect condition...it also came in the original box with all the paperwork.... 0 -
The SN tells us it is a "members" model.
Unfortunately, the premium folks pay for "commemoratives" is largely based on the gun being unfired, unhandled, & in the pristine shipping box with all original packing material. Just working the action a few times can decrease the value.
My SWAG is that yours would sell in the $500-600 range. Had it been left "as issued", it would bring twice that.
