Early Rock Island 03 Receiver Question

What is the value of a very early 1003 rock island receiver. serial # below 1600. should be a first year production. the gun has been heavily sporterized but the receiver has not been messed with. receiver rates about 90%. barrel and stock are not salvagable.

  All Rock Island recievers below #285,507 are the original carbon steel material & are not reccomended for continued use.
  
  If your gun is all original, there would be some collector value, but be aware it is generally considered "UNSAFE to shoot".

  Has it been restocked or has the military stock been sporterized? Many of the early 1903 custom sporters can be very valuable. If it has a military stock are there one or two crossbolts in the stock?
