mp5 magazines
i have a few questions about mp5 magazines ,first of all what does a pof stand for i know this probly means a country of origin but i dont know which one ,second of all how do asian and koreon mags hold up ?? i have noticed they are cheaper than german ones but need to know how they hold up ..thanks

POF is Pakistani. POF, the US made gas-piston AR guys, USED to deal in Pakistani HK type parts before a series of earthquakes halted the supply of parts out of Paki-land a half dozen years ago. 0 -
I had my doubts about those parked Asian made 30rd HK type mags, but we got a half dozen from Gordon Miller and they run great in all our post-sample MP5s. I'd buy a sample one to make sure it runs well in your Toad Bailey special though. 0 -
POF indicates the magazine were produced by the Pakistani Ordnance Factory in Wah, which is just outside of Punjab in Pakistan. Pakistan received an license From HK to produce the MP-5 and the G-3 rifles decades ago in a factory set up by HK using HK tooling. These are licensed copies and not knock-offs. In the late 1980s a large number of the Pakistani MP-5s were imported as restricted dealer sales samples at super low prices, well under what I could buy a sales sample for if I purchased an MP-5 from HK. The guns ran perfectly and the magazines fed and functioned without a glitch. Since I was an authorized HK law enforcement dealer at the time my dealing in these Pakistani copies would have meant the end of my dealing days with HK in Virgina so I had to dump the POF, but it was a great gun. 0
