TruGlo Eotech Trijicon Sights
Has anyone had any good or bad experiences using any of the TruGlo, Eotech and Trijicon sights? I am looking for a red dot type sight for my Ruger Mini 14CF, carbine model, .223, for quick target acquisition in the day time or night. I'm not looking for the $1000 model either. Thanks.

cpermd...any particular model you have had success with on the Aimpoint?? 0 -
I have the Trijicon Reflex on a Mini 14 and AR. I like them. The drawback is the "radioactive" part will fade in time, but after even 10-12 years its doing OK. Never needs batteries and the fiber optic keeps it lit up well in the daytime to overcome washing out the triangle reticle in bright sun. No parallax. If the triangle is on target, you're on target, no matter where it is in your view. 0 -
I have had good experiance with all of the aimpoints I own..
If I had to recommend one, I'd recommend the ML3 or H1.. I also have an aimpoint ML2 2x, but for all around use those two I mention are in my opinion the best.
there is a cheaper Comp C3 designed for competition use, it isnt as water or shock proof as the ML3 but it has the same 50,000 hour battery life and comes with either a 2moa or 4moa dot, and thier is a 2x magnification version. I like the smaller dots as they dont cover up as much..
If you want a cheaper sight I'd recomend the Bushnell trophy TRS-25, mines working pretty good, kinda like an aimpoint H1 but not as good.
the lowest setting is almost to bright at night when not useing a light. I have doubts as to its ability to take submursions long term due to the glass and battery compartment seals, and the image quality compared to the H1 is somewhat murky.. Other then that, if you dont drop it into the deep end of a pond for an hour or two it should work fine, it is a good sight for the money....0 -
aimpoints are good red dots but they look like your looking threw a tube I had one and didn't like it sold it and bought a eotech I could have not been happier ....I think eotech is the best way to go your target acquisition is quick and they have lower end ones to high end ones the warranty also cant be beat trijcon are one of the best but they are going to be the highest price I think you will be happy with the eotech 0 -
I have n eotech 512 on my beretta pintail for deer slugs.
Fast target aquisition, I have not tried it on my mini. I would think it would work good. AA batteries are cheap and easy to find.0
