ERMAS MFG>30 cal. carbine

Have a prestine ( in my openion) 30 cal. M1 carbine made be ERMAS MFG. I bought this in 1972 shot one clip and put it away. Only taking it out of it's case every couple of months for cleaning. It is what i am finding out is a sporter model because of the ser.# 4468. It appeard to have been all made by ERMAS as the receiver and many other parts are stamped with an "E" and mo militery part numbers. I don't want to sell it just lookinf for more info or anyone who has one to get history. It has a very shiny blue unmarked finish and non eye type stock with no sling. It is not the ERMA WERKES made in Germany. They were a different co. I do know these guns are US made. Any more inf appreciated. Also do they have any collector value. Not that many made as i can tell.
