Erma m1 carbine

i can buy a carbine made by Erma in the early sixty's, it has not many rounds shot through it, he has a bunch of ammo, a field manual, extra parts, Has anybody heard much on these guns? I can buy everything for around 450 dollars, is this a good deal/ terry
