Can't get gun out of paddle holster...
A buddy at work traded his Bersa and gave me his paddle holster to use with my Bersa. It is the right holster for the gun and comfortable to wear. Overall one would think it was a great gift and I really appreciate the thought.
However, I can't get the gun out of it to save my life. It comes out fine if I'm not wearing the holster but if I am the entire holster comes out of my pants. Maybe one out of every ten times I'll a handful of gun and no holster.
I have noticed that the holster sits at an angle and have adjusted my draw for this, but to no avail.
Any one know a trick to this?

Are there tension adjustment screws on it?
If not, then check the inside of the holster for mould marks, raised spots, etc. to see where it is catching.0 -

No screw, it's an older model, and no apparent catching points either.
I did move it farther back on my hip which helped somewhat. now the holster comes out about 1/4 of the time.0 -
I got the easy answer. A gun shop guy taught me this one. Get a dress sock and slip your gun inside of the sock and into your holster. This will stretch your holster just enough to make it easy for a quick draw. This will take a few days to get it how you want it so be patient. 0 -
Thanks, I'll try it. 0 -
just like the cowpokes of old grease the inside[:D] 0 -
Spray the inside with auto silicone and work your gun in and out. This will let the holster loosen up without losing it's stiffness.
The silicone won't hurt the gin, just wipe it down when done.0 -
Put some baby-powder inside and rub it in. This helped me with a PPK pancake holster made by ElPaso that has pig-skin inside. It makes it really slick and lasts for a long time. 0 -
Put 2 pieces of skater tape on the outside surfaces of your holster to help hold it inside your pocket. 0 -
I would toss that holster. If you ever get in a confrontation, and someone takes your gun from you holster and all(can be done, simply by pulling the holster straight away from the body, and seperating it from the paddle), you will wish you had gotten rid of it earlier.

Thanks for all the advice.[:)]
I finally had some more time to work on it today. Found one high spot where the slide stop is and dremeled the heck out of it. Then I oiled it pretty good.
Now the pistol jumps right out.[8D]
I'll try some silicon spray when I get some.0
