I have a gun that was passed down to me from my great great great grandfather, and I was looking to see how much it is worth. I'm not looking to sell it, just a price. I've taken it to many gunsmiths and none of them are able to give me a sure answer on how much. It is in very good condition and everything on it is original.

  Hello putting a price/value/worth on a firearm is very hard. Without pictures near impossible"see post labeled STICKY how to post pictures". A "SURE " answer will only be obtained IF & WHEN an item is sold and only then when a LARGE number of people have had the opportunity to see it and bid on it . If it were mine and I wanted an insurance value just pick the highest price any of the gunsmiths gave you IMHO VALUE is a MOOT point if you are going to keep it. Just like a picture of a family member may be priceless to you but it may not be worth near the same amount to a none family member.
