Grandfathers guns

I have several guns that belong to my grandfather and he would like to sell them. I don't what they but have pictures. Can anyone help. I really don't want to spend a lot time liquidating his collection. I thought I would take a few of the older ones out and see what they are worth. Should I send them to some auction or list them here. I just have no interest in these and would like them out of my house the sooner the better.

    Joe, This is a good place to get the advice you seek. Good pictures are essential for the experts here to be able to help you with accurate values. There is a sticky at the top of the page that will explain how to post pictures.
    Without pictures you may get a very broad estimate of value by giving the make, model, caliber or gauge, serial number and a description of how much finish there is on each. Photos are by far the best way to get the help.

    Hi, you need to keep what your grandfather collected over the years, He will turn over in his grave if he knew you was going to get rid of his collection. But I guess thats the way some grand kids treat their elders.

    They are his guns to do with as he pleases. Gun Broker exists specifically for the purposes of allowing people sell firearms, that is where the money comes from that keeps this forum up and running. Advising people who wish to use our services NOT TO sell guns is not going to be tolerated.

    I don't see much in the above dealing with your question. So I'd suggest you post them on Gun Broker auction for starting prices of $100 each for the small pistols and $250 for the double barrel with bayonet. They could bring twice that.

    Good quality photos along with a detailed listing of their features and condition will bring you top money if you list them on Gun Broker.
