AR Rear Sight Options
I am building an AR-15 with an A3 upper and am looking for a rear sight for it, but cant really decide on what. I only have around $100 to spend on it. I dont expect the ultimate sight for that price range, but something that gets the job done. Any suggestions?

IMHO this is the cream of the crop of folding rear sights in that price range.. I have several of them and really like them, I Have YHM, ARMS, and a few others, but this one is my go to folding sight..

It allows pretty much any scope or magnifier or whatever to be mounted..
If you buy a big sight and decide latter you want a scope it wont clear over the BUIS useing most mounts, get a low profile sight and never sweat it..[;)]0 -
Magpul makes a good rear sight for about $40.00. I have a few, don't use them primarily but as back up, I rely on scopes and my ARs are all flat top. This one's OK.

ARMS makes one that will be around 100 bucks, seems to work good. If you look around you should be able to find a used Troy Industries one for around 100. They make their sights for several different manufacturers, BCM, Noveske, ect, that is just a label thing. 0 -
Try a company called GG&G....they have an EXTENSIVE line of AR add on's, including a great folding/locking rear sight. 0 -
I like solid sights that leave rail space for a co-witnessed reflex optic, like Daniel Defense A1.5. https://www.danieldefense.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=146
You can put in a CSAT peep in it for that 100 yard zero, but the 7 yard notch. http://www.xssights.com/store/CSAT.html
I really don't see the point in a flip up rear sight unless you also have a flip up front sight, or are using it with some type of magnified optic that can't be co-witnessed.0 -
You can't go wrong with the ARMS or Midwest Industries rear sights.
If your a budget go with the Magpuls.0 -
I went with a A.R.M.S on my M-4. 0
