M-S 1900

Since everyone was quoting me I have to say this 1900 looks like a standard 1903 sporter with a 3/4 stock which was one of the standard configurations. My theory is that the only reason the 1900 morphed into the 1903 was to give the Greek public the impression that it was a brand new design when they purchased them for military use. I owned one 1900 which was definitely made in Austria as a sporter. The other was a commercial barreled action that was stocked and sighted in England. I have seen some of the Portuguese military 1900s that were made into sporters, but this one does not look like one of those.
