7x30 Waters ??????????

I'm getting ready to load some 120gr spire point bullets for my 14" thompson Contender , anyone know what a good powder would be to use ?

  For full-power loads, I like the medium burners in the 4895, RL-15, Varget, 4320 general area. Most ball powders will give you serious muzzle flash/blast in such a short barrel.

  Try W 748. I have had good luck with it in my Contenders in that caliber.

  The Speer #12 book has loads for the 7X30 Waters.
  I use a contender for silhouette with 139 or 140 grain bullets. I use 32 grains of VhitaVouri Oy powder N-135 and large rifle primers. It works.
