Engraved Colt Commander

I am not an expert on engraving...however there is a Colt Commander currently on GB auction #159060043 that looks to be quite well done. There are initials GKS on the gun that may be the engraver's. I have communicated with the owner. They seem to know very little on its background. I am interested in some expert opinions on the engraving. I believe the gun is fairly-priced...but opinions from others would be appreciated on this as well...MANY THANKS!!!

    Initials are "CKS"...not GKS. Sorry!

    Hello The engraving is OK quality not bad but far from great. If you take the price of a 98% series 80 and found a beginning engraver the starting price is just about the sum of what it would cost you. IMHO most times engraved guns do not go up in value as fast as standard guns it is more a matter of taste of what you want .

    I kinda like it. not overdone like some you see. would be easy enough to change out the barrel bushing if you don't want someone else's initials on your gun. that's what i would do.
    if it was $1200 i would buy it. not so sure about 1400 though.

    Thanks Folks...Very Good input...much appreciated! Tom...I kinda-like it too...I am mulling it over...I wish I knew who CKS was or is!
