Mossberg 500 Trigger housing repair kit

I saw this on Numerich's website and wanted to know if anybody had used it? How does it install? Does it work? You know details about it.

  for $6.40 i would try it. i have repaired alot of old mossberg trigger systems. seems like this would be a good investment. next tine i order i will try one. i still have some mossberg trigger guards with the tabs broken off.

  I have used a woodruff key way cutter in a Bridgeport to cut a slot across the face of the trigger guard and then cut a piece of flat stock to fit the groove and extend out of the guard an appropriate amount to engage the slots in the receiver. The guard is soft enough to hold the key in place when it is pressed in. The projecting tabs that go into the receiver slots can be trimmed so that they are stopped by the taper of the slots and the key/ plate can not move out of position when assembled. A Bridgeport makes the job easy but the slot could be cut with hand tools.
