    im thinking of purchasing a saiga 12 shotgun and i have noticed a huge price difference between converted and non-converted guns. can someone please explain the difference in the shotguns for me? thank you.

    is the conversion just for a pistol grip? which involves moving the trigger assembly forward? or is there more to it?

    Well they are imported as sporting shotguns and to make them legal to add all the cool parts they have to become 922r compliant, ie "US made" or no longer an import firearm. This is done by adding US made parts and some machining time. This costs money. The quality of the maker will depend on how much it costs. Also what options you add will cost more like any other gun.

    Basically a converted gun needs a new, stock, stock trunion, the reciever needs to be fitted with a pistol grip and the FCG and trigger guard needs to be moved up...


    This company is the best that I know of, this gun is about the same cost as a thromix, and about 400 more then a CIA converted gun.

    this one has less frills, but it is made by some very savy people..
