After enough of the cheap junk claimed to be good. Who has the best tools for building AR15`s?

    Brownells has a large selection of tools for working on ARs and IMO they dont deal with junk products.

    There are a raft of tools available to work on AR15s due to the size of the market. Are there specific jobs that you want to accomplish and have found tools to be lacking in quality?

    Brownells does sell quality tools for gunsmithing most firearms including the AR15. They have a complete but separate catalog for the asking as well as a video tape segments of techniques available online.

    With the DPMS multi-tool and a good barrel vise, you can do anything you want to an AR.

    excuse me sir.., but to be a good AR-15 mechanic, believe a set of these are a must !

    Nononsense, Building from the ground up. Working/hunting rigs.
    Have an excess of parts and the real problem is factory rifles that need to be taken down and reconfigured.

    Some barrels and stocks from the factory have bent or snapped pins(tools).

    I`ll look at Brownells. It seems everytime I order a tool, says the best and turns out to be good at best.

    Any specific brand?

    New ones will be built from the bare receiver up.
    Old ones will be broken down to bare receiver and rebuilt.

    I got a Stoner AR wrench and blocks from www.midwayusa.com Have had no problems with them. Have taken some very tight AR's apart.

    I like tools as much as the next guy, and probably more, but AR-15's aren't rocket science. If a tool doesn't serve multiple uses, or is the only way to accomplish a task, I don't need it. My 4 year old has an erector set that has a higher degree of difficulty than an AR.
