Remington 141A Question
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a Remington 141 and 141A. Also how does the carbine and the rifle differ. Is it just overall length or something more? Thanks in advance, I appreciate being able to pick all y'all's brains.

Length is the only difference between the carbine and rifle. Rifle was made between 1936-1950. Remington stopped making the carbine in 1942 because of low demand. I have never been able to find any info on the model 141A. 0 -
Thanks very much. I knew I could count on this site to shed a little light on things. This gun is in my dad's collection and I swear it said 141A on it. Next time I see it, I'll have to examine it a little more carefully and measure the barrel length, too. I don't think it's a carbine, but it doesn't have the 24 inch length of the regular rifle. Maybe it's a 22 inch barrel. Thanks again. 0 -
One other difference between the rifle and the rifle is that the carbines had straight grip stocks . Have seen 14A s but no 141A. Most carbines have a R suffix after the model number . 0 -
Blue Book list as 141/141A, but don't go into detail. I have collected the 141 for years and there is virtually NO information out there on this gun[xx(]. 0
