A little petroleum jelly on the screw driver shaft will keep the rubber from damage. Remember a little goes a long way!!

Yes, application of some type of lubricant on the shaft of the driver will help keep the access hole from "enlarging." Also, when backing out the screws do so a little at a time alternating between screws until they clear the stock. Reinstallation is same procedure in reverse.[:D]

thanx guy's I never would have thought it was important, but it seems these little trcks save a lot of visable defects, and I tend to butcher things a bit. So I'm trying to pay attention to details now. This will help. And also do you need thread lock on the stock bolt threads?
