Beretta 380 question
Hi to all! I have a handgun I would like to get rid of but have some questions if anyone here can help.
I do not know anything about guns and wanted to know if someone can tell me how I can find out when this particular one was manufactured. I did find one that, to me, looks exactly like the one I have. The link is from a previous auction on this site. I will put the link below and hope that helps.
Also below is the information I found on the gun itself. I've had an offer from someone local but I'm trying to make sure I don't get taken advantage of. The offer was made over the phone right off the bat without him even seeing it which is why I want to get as much info up front as I can.

Pietro Beretta Gardone V.T. Cal 380 - Made in Italy
Berben Corporation NY, NY Mod 70S Patented
On one side near the trigger, it has the letters AE

The letters "AE" are the Italian proof date code for the year 1979.
The Model 70S Berettas are descent well made pistols. If anything I consider the price that the one on the auction sold for as being pretty much the bottom dollar price. My 2? is that they should be in the $350-$450 range if factory original and in excellent condition.0 -
AE indicates that the psitol was produced in 1979. 0 -
You have a beretta 70s and you can value it by watching auctions on gunbroker. It was most likely manufactured between 1965 and 1970 and maybe beretta can tell you when exactly by the serial number 0
