Is a remington#8 rifle chambered for 30-30rem compatable with 30-30win ammo?

  NO
  The 30-30 Rem AKA 30 REM is a rimless cartridge (IE like the 30-06)
  The 30 WCF AKA 30-30 Win is a Rimmed cartridge (IE like a 38spl).
  Note that both cartridges underwent a name change during their lifetime
  
  While the body is generaly the same shape, the Rem Mod 8 won't accept the rimmed Winchester round
