Leupold Pioneer Spec/Measurements
Does anyone have any old Leuopold info that would give the info on the Pioneer line of scopes? I want to get either a 2 1/4X or 4X to mount on a Mannlicher Schoenauer in a Leupold Adjusto Mount system. Thanks

Thanks for the offer Cody. I don't have the scope yet but have one found and a line on a set of 7/8" rings. My concern is, will the scope mount far enough back to get the proper eye relief. I guess the figures I need are the eye relief and the distance from the eye piece to the rear of the front bell. I currently have a old B&L Baltur with a straight front objective and it has to be all the way to the rear. If you have those figures on both the 4X and the 2 1/2X it would be great. Thanks 0 -

I have two of my pre-64 Model 70's set up with a 4x Pioneer system and they sit about normal. Not far back and sight picture comes up clear and quick when shouldered. Zero process is a trip, but doable. I have original instructions if needed could copy. E-mail me if so..

I checked through some old 1950's Stoegers catalogs. The 4x Pioneer is listed as 11 1/2" long with eye relief at 3 1/2 or 3.7 inches (depending on which issue catalog you're looking in). The 2 1/2x is 10" long with 4" eye relief. No other dimensions are listed. 0 -

I have an 8X Pioneer on a 98 Mauser actioned 250-3000, it has about 3 1/2" eye releif. Hope that helps.
