This is not a new problem. It is typical with the darker gray casings, but not the lighter grey. I adjusted my loader to help, but it didnt completely cure the problem

Is it typical with the red casings as well?

The newer WW cases are thicker towards the base and require HS wads. They will not interchange.

I load the new red AA hulls with no problem. Was getting a ring around the hull about 1/2" above the metal base. I had to lower the start crimp about a full turn and that seemed to take care of the problem.

I load all the Winchester and Remington hulls with the same components and charges, I've been doing it for years with no problems. When the hull tried to fold when I first started out, I adjusted the shot charge by throwing less shot until I got the crimp I wanted.

    Thanks for the reply's.

Grizz: What wad are you using? Did you cut back on a 1-1/8 oz.load?

Yes, I think I put about 1 1/16 oz. of shot in the Claybuster replacement for the AA 1 1/8 oz wad. I use an adjustable bar, so it's easy to add or subtract shot and powder.
