Beretta 84BB - Won't fire - Part II (Now it works)
Finally took the gun to the range after my firing pin removal, cleaning and re-installation. Worked great! put 50 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever.
Just wanted to thank all those (especially Mark Christian) who provided info for my foray into gunsmithing.
I was thrown off by the pencil test and wasn't sure I had fixed it. Seems the pencil you use has a big impact on how far the pencil goes. I tried one that didn't do much. So then I posted looking for the local gunsmith. Tried another one yesterday and it shot it across the room.
Well since it passed the range test, I vow to not let it sit idle for another 10 years. Since I have not seem many like it (nickle finish), I was keeping it as a collector piece not a shooter. I think I will modify my approach and shoot and clean it at least once a year.
