removing the buttstock on an AR15.

is there some kind of trick to getting these off? im trying to put on an adapter for a single point sling. ive got the wrench for it but cant get the nut to budge. is there a hidden screw or something im missing? i have a bushmaster with the non colapsing stock.

  I just put one on my DPMS and had to hear the nut with a heat gun to get it loose. I thought it had lock tight on it, but it was just very tight.

  Possibly locktited it could also have a staked nut. Staking is dimpling in the nut to lock it. Put the lower in a vise, put the wrench on and give the wrench a good whack with a mallet in the correct direction.
