Winchester 1885 High Wall Sights Question

On the Winchester 1885 High Wall Traditional Hunter in .45-70 there is a rear mounted tang sight, should I be able to replace it with a creedmoor sight?

  While I have no experience with the modern Model 1885 rifles, I can not imagine any reason why you could not swap the current sight with the one you want.
