Solid Clip for COLT 1911 U.S. Army

Picked up a Colt 1911 U.S.Army at the gun show and it came with two clips, one regular and one that is SOLID, very heavy.
Markings: 19200, ASSY 5508694, MFR 1M291.
Been going to shows for 35 years and never came across a clip like this one. I think it was used in the armory repair shop.
Anyone with any information on these military clips use and value?

  The solid clip is for repair of the frame where the magazine fits into

  No offense but it is important to keep proper terminology intact when discussing technical subjects.
  
  Magazine is the proper term you're looking for and clips are not magazines. This is a common error like calling a cartridge 'caliber' which is equally incorrect.
