Murata type 22 Rifle

I was wondering what this rifle may be worth. Got it from my grandfather who brought it back from Japan during WWII. Took me a while to even find out what it is. Looks like a pre 1889 model without the lower bayonet barrell. This only has the top barrell that sticks out about a 1/2 inch from the end of the stock end. It is also missing the bolt head. Its in pretty rough shape but everything seems to still be working. I can send emails wih pics. Thanks

  Missing the bolt head? Not worth much then. A really nice one with all parts could run up to a grand without surprising me but for a beat up gun missing one of the most crucial parts?
  
  I'd say no more than $2-300.
