380 SA semi sub-compact

I would like to find a small 380 semi auto single action.
If there is such a thing, could I get some thoughts on a good one I can depend on in a concel carry situation?

    Thank for the information.
    Thoughts:
    I did not find the Sig P380, I did see a Sig P238 which looks good.
    The Colt Mustang in the pocketlite also has a 12oz weight which is another plus.
    The Iver Johnson is a complete new one on me. I am interested in the history of this and will research.
    Overall, to carry a 380 single action semi, the light weight Colt pocketlite seems to be a best first choice for a newbie.
    I'm guessing all manufactures are chasing this desire in the exploding world of conceal carry and there are probably more on the way.
    I will respond to you with what I end up with and how it works for me.

    silver star welcome to the forum. I know you were asking about a 380 but you should really look at a 9MM Kahr...same size, more powerful cartridge, but still very controllable. It does not meet your single action criteria but for a carry pistol I think it is better.

    I agree the 9mm will hit harder.
    And I always want to hit as hard as I can.
    I hate to admit this but I am 50 plus and have rheumatoid arthritis.
    I cannot practice with the 9mm without my wrist requiring a 2 week recovery.
    The 380 is not a whole lot better but practice is not as costly, pain wise.
    Actually,I had to make the choice not to go down to a 25 caliber.
    It came down to the 25 has no problem with a T-shirt. Coats, jackets, over coats are to much for it. If I lived in Florida it would be my choice.
    Unless there are some very user frindly 9mm's out there then the 380 it is.

    As far as a 380, the new Sig or the Colt mentioned would be a good choice. I have the same problem with my wrist and find the Kahr P-9 I carry doesn't bother it as much as my Kel-Tec 380. AND the 9mm is much less expencive to get ammo for.

    I have another question, I'm leap frogging here.
    Can it be said that the Sig, Colt and Kel-Tec mentioned would be similar in recoil?
    If so I would have even more interest in the Kahr although it is a double action.

    silver star...if you are carrying a single action semi auto and you have to use it; you will have to convert it from a safe state (cocked and locked or not cocked at all) into a shootable state (cocked and safety off). That means you have to draw and cock or draw and unlock the safety and remember to do it in the heat of the moment. The Kahr with its double action is a draw and fire...nothing has to be done to move if from safe to fire except pull the trigger. In a firefight, the fewer the variables the better. Also in practice I would wear the wrist brace.
